Exciting times ahead!

So, the big news first…we’ve moved into a brand new, bespoke studio space! We loved our last home at RLF House but the new studio is much (much) bigger and has allowed us to build new student benches, add new tools, new techniques and generally stretch our creative legs.

We will be celebrating the opening of our brand new studio on the 1st of March. Please join us anytime between 3 and 7 pm for some fizz and a peak at the new space! We are at Unit 3, Block 1, Duckburn Industrial Park, Dunblane, FK15 0EW – just to the side of Marks & Spencer’s. Bring your own cup and help us reduce single use plastic!

Summer School

With the new premises we are able to expand our range of courses and are thrilled to be offering our first ever Summer School! Whether you are a total beginner or looking to learn some new techniques we have something for you.  Our week long summer school courses are a fantastic opportunity to explore what we do at the School, meet our tutors and enjoy a week of creative inspiration.  Held over five consecutive days in our light, spacious studio in Dunblane, this course is an opportunity to immerse yourself in jewellery making under expert tuition.

Drop-in Sessions

Our new larger space also now allows us to offer new drop in sessions. For jewellers (and students who are experienced enough to work independently) we can offer you an hourly bench rental in our inspirational space with full access to our impressive array of tools & equipment. We hope to have this up and running by the end of March.

Weekend Workshops

We’ve added a few more Weekend Workshops to the schedule taking us up to early June. Favorites such as Keum Boo, Sea Glass Rings and Beginners Jewellery are back alongside a new 2-day Intensive Precious Metal Clay course with tutor Christina Hirst. Christina is a jewellery designer maker based in Edinburgh. She trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) gaining a Master of Design by research, for a study of (the then new material) Silver Clay. This will be an intensive weekend of silver clay techniques and did we mention that Precious Metal Clay is an ideal companion technique to Keum Boo as they both use fine silver?

Evening Classes

Our Evening Classes continue to be very popular and the Monday Evening students who started in January have finished all their technical lessons and are about to start making their personal projects. We can’t wait to see what they come up with. Our final term of the year will run from the 20th or April until the 20th of June and any available places will be advertised on the website and Facebook from the 15th of March.

We hope that we will see you at the new studio soon!
