Join award-winning Enamel artist Elizabeth Jane Campbell for a special one day Enamel Taster for beginners, covering the basics of enamelling from prepping your metal to simple decorative techniques. This taster class is a great starting point for makers looking to introduce colour, pattern and texture to their jewellery.
Over the course of the day, you will learn beginner techniques such as sifting and Sgraffito. Practical demonstrations will be spread throughout the day, giving students a great introductory overview.
You will create a series of samples using the different techniques you have learned, and Elizabeth will also demonstrate some basic techniques for applying findings to your finished enamel pieces to transform them into jewellery.
Your Tutor: Graduating in 2013 from Edinburgh College of Art, tutor Elizabeth Jane Campbell is an award-winning enamel jeweller based in Edinburgh.
