It’s December! How did that happen? We’re only one week away from the end of term and the studio is a hive of activity as students complete their final pieces. It’s been a fantastic term and the quality of the work produced has been outstanding! We will take a break until the 9th & 10th of January when evening classes will resume. Beginners are always welcome – make it an early Christmas gift to yourself or gently nudge that certain someone in the direction of our gift vouchers. Spaces book up fast though…you have been warned!
If you can’t commit to a weekly class then you might be interested in our monthly Weekend Workshops. January means making resolutions and for many of us that includes learning a new skill. Plus it’s a fantastic time of year to get creative. Join us on the 20th for our Carve & Cast Workshop where you will learn how to create a bespoke, one-off ring by making a wax carving that can then be sent away to be cast in silver or brass. Or join us in February to learn how to make a ring with a piece of sea glass…a good excuse for a bracing walk along the coast this holiday season! Find out more here.
The School will also be open this weekend as part of Small Business Saturday. There are so many benefits to supporting local and small businesses and we feel lucky to based in Dunblane which has a supportive & vibrant creative community. Did you know that you don’t need to spend money to support a small business? Little things help a lot – ‘like’ us on social media, share our posts and recommend us to your friends and family. Believe me – we appreciate it a lot! If you’ve not been along to the studio yet – pop in! Tutor, Jo Pudelko will have some of her jewellery on display and you can find out about all the exciting classes and workshops planned for 2018. Creative chat plus coffee, tea and mince pies!
From the entire CSSJ team we wish you a very merry (and creative) festive season!
