Dunblane — an engaging creative experience for visitors to Scotland. Within easy reach of
Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow, our studio is well suited to a day trip or short break.
Overlooking the River Allan, it offers a welcoming space to step into Scotland’s tradition of
craftsmanship and create a personal piece to take home.
Take a piece of Scotland’s coastline home with our Seaglass Summer School — a two-day
jewellery making workshop combining foraged beach finds with precious metal to create a silver
sea glass pendant and earrings set. If you enjoy collecting sea glass, this is an opportunity to
turn those finds into lasting keepsakes. If not, a carefully sourced selection is available to use
during the course.
A visit to CSSJ can easily be combined with a wider journey through the Forth Valley, with nearby landmarks including Dunblane Cathedral and Stirling Castle. Excellent transport links make the area accessible, while it retains a sense of calm that feels far removed from larger cities.
During the long summer days, visitors can enjoy a slower pace — spending time in the studio, exploring the surrounding area, and discovering independent cafés and local businesses.
A Cultural Journey Through Craft

Jewellery making is a traditional art woven into Scotland’s cultural story, from early Celtic adornment to contemporary design. At CSSJ, visitors can take part in this living tradition through hands-on jewellery workshops led by experienced tutors.
Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience, classes introduce core techniques such as sawing, shaping, texturing and soldering. More advanced jewellery making workshops explore processes including stone setting and casting, offering a deeper understanding of the skill behind each piece.
Join award-winning enamel jeweller Elizabeth Jane Campbell for an extended three-day Enamel
Summer School designed for beginners. This immersive course introduces the essential
processes of enamelling, guiding you from preparing metal through to creating colourful,
finished jewellery.
Rather than simply observing, visitors are invited to take part — designing and making their own
jewellery in a fully equipped studio. It offers a direct and meaningful connection to Scotland’s
creative heritage.
A Memorable Hands-On Experience
CSSJ’s jewellery making workshops are designed with flexibility in mind, with weekday and
weekend sessions that fit easily into a travel itinerary. Small class sizes ensure a supportive environment, while access to professional tools and materials allows for an authentic
experience.
More than just an activity, a workshop becomes a lasting memory — an opportunity to learn a
new skill, meet like-minded people, and leave with a handcrafted piece that reflects your time in
Scotland.
