Silver Rings Taster Workshop

Level: Beginners / Taster Session
Join us for a bite-sized Silver Jewellery Making Taster Session and learn some basic jewellery-making skills as you create a beautiful silver ring. Perfect to do with your partner on Valentine’s Day or celebrate with a group of friends! Begin by experimenting with brass and copper, discovering how to use various hammers to craft unique textures before learning how to solder and calculate your ring size. You will then move on to create your finished silver band.
Our expert tutors will guide you every step of the way, offering technical tips and design advice to help you perfect your creation. Walk away with a unique piece of handmade jewellery to treasure or share as a thoughtful gift for friends or family.
What to bring
- We’ll provide everything you’ll need for your Simple Silver Rings Taster Workshop including silver, copper and brass.
- Please bring along glasses if you need them
- Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a studio environment including closed-toe shoes. Why not order yourself a CSSJ apron to make you feel right at home in your workshop?
- If you have long hair please wear it up
- Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Please bring your own lidded cup for use in the studio. While we do not have a dedicated lunch area, you are welcome to eat at your desk, and we can also recommend nearby places to eat if you prefer.
- If you are the type of person who prefers to arm yourself with some knowledge ahead of time then we have prepared a Pinterest page filled with jewellery making information and roll printing inspiration just for you!
