Engraving Masterclass with Dario Batzella
Level: Intermediate/ Advanced.
About the course:
Your Tutor: Having studied several techniques, including engraving, at the Italian mint in Rome, Dario Batzella moved to Edinburgh to work for Hamilton & Inches in May 2017 as a Trainee Engraver. Since joining the team, he has created award-winning pieces and brought a wealth of artistry, passion and talent.
What to bring: We’ll provide all the things you will need to start your engraving journey including your own graver which you can take home with you at the end of the weekend. Tools and copper will also be provided. Silver will be available at cost price.
Please note that this is a skill building weekend and does not have a prescribed final outcome.
Please bring along glasses if you need them and wear appropriate clothing for a studio environment including closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair please wear it up.
Lunch is not provided but you can bring lunch outside our studio or we can advise you of nearby places to buy food. Refreshments provided.
