SUMMER JEWELLERY CLUB – For ages 13yrs – 15yrs

Central Scotland School of Jewellery are delighted to open their doors for the second time to young, budding jewellery makers! The school will host 3 afternoon sessions which can be booked as a block or separately. No previous experience is necessary for these fun new learning experiences delivered by professional jewellers.

Precious Metal Clay

Wednesday 13th July – 1pm- 4.30pm

Especially suited for budding miniaturists, this session introduces the fascinating properties of Silver Clay. The clay-like material is easy to manipulate by hand and is perfect for producing little shapes and forms. As the clay dries, the water evaporates and the organic binder burns away during firing to leave pure silver. Students will create their own moulds in which to create pendants & charms.

Stamping, Rolling & Hammering with Jan Rooney

 Thursday 14th July – 1pm – 4.30pm

This busy, noisy and exciting workshop will be all about patterns. Students will learn how to stamp shapes and letters in to metal, use various hammers to build up texture and how to create pattern on metal with a rolling mill. Students will make their own personalised ‘dog tag’ pendants.

Friday 15th August  – 1pm – 4.30pm

Aluminium Jewellery with Jenna McDonald

This workshop explores the decorative colouring of anodised aluminium which is perfect for jewellery making, sculpture and other craft projects. Students will learn about the anodising process and be introduced to a variety of fun and creative techniques which will include direct colouring using pens, rubber stamps and other easy to use materials. All students will have a completed aluminium cuff bangle by the end of the session.

Classes can be purchased separately. If you would like to purchase a stand alone class please email Natalie at:

Juice, water and biscuits will be provided however please ensure your child has had lunch before the workshop.

A sketchbook, pencil and a water bottle would be helpful to bring along!
