Gem Set  Pendants

Sunday 12th October

Join us for a creative stone set pendant workshop and make yourself a beautiful semi-precious gem and silver necklace in just a day! In this one-day introductory workshop, we’ll explore a range of different techniques, including bezel or rub-over settings. We’ll cover the basic techniques of saw piercing, soldering, texturing, filing and polishing as you create a stunning pendant to take home and treasure. Choose from our vast selection of semi-precious gemstones to create exactly the necklace you want. The workshop will also give an overview of tab settings. Tab Setting is a great alternative setting technique that lends itself well to a bit of creativity and experimentation. It doesn’t involve any heat or soldering and lends itself well to setting unconventional small objects such as shells, driftwood or odd-shaped buttons. It’s a great technique for anyone working with found objects or for those who don’t have the confidence to work with a torch on their own.

Level

The Stone Set Pendant Workshop is suitable for beginners or anyone who wants to add to their repertoire of jewellery skills. It’s a great class to combine with our other beginner’s workshops as you begin to build up your jewellery skill set.
