Personalised Silver Charms Workshop

Level: Beginners / Taster Session
Join us for a bite-sized Personalised Silver Charms Workshop and learn some basic jewellery making skills as you create a set of silver charms. We’ll start out by experimenting on copper, learning how to use different types of hammer to create a variety of textures, and how to stamp small letters and symbols using our collection of steel punches. Then we’ll learn how to safely melt silver offcuts and granules down to create small pebble forms, and apply our designs to them. Finally, we’ll add small silver jump rings to create a unique cluster of finished silver charms, and attach them to a silver chain so you can wear your makes with pride.
This 3-hour workshop is suitable for ages 16 and above. If you are looking for a class for under 16’s, we will host a teen’s jewellery making class in mid January. Please register your interest by emailing hello@cssj.co.uk.
What to bring
- We’ll provide everything you’ll need for your Personalised Silver Charms workshop including a silver necklace chain to add your finished charms to. A chunkier bracelet chain will be available at an extra cost of £3.50.
- Please bring along glasses if you need them
- Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a studio environment including closed-toe shoes. Why not order yourself a CSSJ apron to make you feel right at home in your workshop?
- If you have long hair please wear it up
- Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied
