A two-day, weekend course learning the magic of enamelling, this course is suitable for beginners as well as students looking to expand their skills. Students will learn how to prepare metal before enamelling, apply colour and textures, and then how to use the kiln to fire their pieces. We will also look at how to apply findings to an enamelled design to create final pieces that can be taken away and displayed/worn.
The worskhop will cover arange of decorative techniques such as sifting, Sgraffito, stencilling, stamping, graphite with enamel as well as other effective, simple techniques.
Day 1: Skills Tutorials Elizabeth will take you an introduction to some of the techniques used within enamelling and will run through live demonstrations whilst showing you examples of others working with enamel.
Day 2: Design & Make Students will have the chance to design and make finished pieces using the techniques that they have learned, and Elizabeth will be on hand to offer advice and lend her skills.
