29 & 30 October 2022

We have teamed up with our good friends at Central Scotland School of Craft to bring you a special collaborative mixed media workshop. Spend two fun filled days with our lead jewellery tutor Jan Rooney and visiting mosaic expert Rachel Davies creating a lidded copper pot, embellished with colourful mosaic of mixed materials including coloured glass and slate. On day one you will create a little copper pot using tube and sheet materials, with a perfectly snug fitting little lid. On day two there will be some time to finish, refine and polish your pot before moving upstairs to the sunny craft studio where Rachel will help you construct a mini mosaic masterpiece atop your pot.

Level: Intermediate

What to bring: We’ll provide all the things you will need to start making your copper pot with mini mosaic lid. You are very welcome to bring along found materials to incorporate into your mosaic design; small natural stones, found pottery shard and small beads work particularly well, Rachel will guide you on the suitability of your foraged treasures. Please bring along glasses if you need them and wear appropriate clothing for a studio environment including closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair please wear it up.  If you are the type of person who prefers to arm yourself with some knowledge ahead of time then we have prepared a Pinterest board filled with information and inspiration just for you.

Lunch is not provided but you can bring lunch to eat in the studio or we can advise you of nearby places to buy food. Refreshments provided.

**Please note: classes may be cancelled due to lack of attendees. In the unlikely event, you will be fully refunded and notified the day before the class is scheduled**
